Knowledge-based outcomes are evaluated through tailored assessment tasks, while skill-based outcomes require direct observation in real work environments. Importantly, the course mandates practical placement, recommending at least 250 hours in a setting that facilitates the application of skills with babies and young children. This approach not only reinforces theoretical learning but also provides invaluable on-the-job experience.
